Ceremonies

A ceremony needs to be well thought out and uniquely yours. This is your time to shine! While I have several years of experience to guide you in planning your ceremony, I encourage you to use your own imagination in our co-creative process too. The world is your oyster!

I am primarily based in Surrey, UK and the Dordogne Valley in France. However, I am available to conduct ceremonies anywhere in the world. Have passport, will travel!

Weddings, commitment ceremonies + renewal of vows

There is no limit to what you can do for your celebrant-led wedding, commitment ceremony or renewal of vows. From the more traditional to the wacky, your ceremony will be tailored to you and incorporate your hopes, dreams and how you see the world. I'll work with you to create a ceremony reflecting both your personalities and shared love for each other. Perhaps you want to include some symbolic elements such as a unity candle, sand ceremony, ring blessing, or an element that represents your culture.

Your ceremony can take place wherever you wish. While there are traditional venues, I've conducted ceremonies in French Chateau's, restaurants, barns, gardens, the beach and in the intimacy of a couple's living room!

There is no limit to your imagination! I'm equally at home writing ceremonies that blend together beliefs or those who prefer a more humanist approach.

I also offer a script-only service for those couples who would prefer to have a family member or friend deliver their ceremony but have no idea where to start with writing the script.

I’m also a supporter of the #youdontneedtoask movement. This means I offer a safe space for everyone, whatever your gender, orientation, religion, ethnicity, or anything else that is part of your identity. You don’t need to ask if I do gay weddings, because I do ALL weddings and would LOVE to do your wedding!

Just remember that you will need to obtain your legal marriage certificate (from your local Registrar's Office) before your ceremony.

Baby Naming + Adoption ceremonies

A baby naming or adoption ceremony is a great way to welcome children into your family in a non-traditional way. The ceremony can take place anywhere you wish whether in your own home or chosen venue. Usually the purpose of the ceremony is to voice your intentions for your lives ahead as a family. Music, poems, readings or a symbolic element help to declare your wishes for your child and recognise the contribution of any special guardians you may have selected.

anything goes!

When it comes to symbolic ceremonies ANYTHING GOES! The beauty is that you can do whatever you want to recognise those special times in your life. Some examples of symbolic ceremonies and rituals I've created in the past include marking the evolution of an organisation, divorce healing, coming of age, gender transition and renaming, housewarmings and celebrations of life.

Remember to celebrate milestones as you prepare for the road ahead.
